1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, subscribe to a plan, or contact us for support. This includes your name, email address, and payment information (processed securely through our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers).
We also collect information automatically when you use the Service, including: log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps), usage data (features used, projects created, exports completed), and device information (operating system, screen resolution). We use cookies and similar tracking technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; process transactions and send related information such as purchase confirmations and invoices; send administrative messages, including updates, security alerts, and support responses; respond to your comments and questions; and monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve user experience.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your personal information for advertising targeting or behavioral profiling by third parties. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or contacting us at hello@clofta.com.
3. Video Content Handling
Your uploaded video footage is processed solely to deliver the Service — to generate edited videos for you. We do not use your video content, the transcriptions derived from it, or the AI-generated edits to train AI models, improve foundational models, or for any purpose other than providing the Service to your account.
Video files are stored securely in encrypted cloud storage. Raw footage is retained for as long as your account is active and for 30 days after account deletion, after which it is permanently purged from our systems. You can delete individual projects and their associated footage at any time from your dashboard.
When your footage is processed by third-party AI services (such as video analysis providers), it is transmitted under data processing agreements that prohibit those providers from using your content for training or any purpose beyond completing the processing request.
4. Third-Party Services
We work with trusted third-party providers to operate the Service, including cloud infrastructure providers, AI processing services, payment processors, and analytics platforms. These providers are contractually bound to use your information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
The Service integrates with third-party authentication providers. If you sign in via a third-party account (such as Google), we receive only the information that provider shares with us based on your privacy settings with them. We do not control the data practices of third-party platforms on which you distribute your finished videos.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, regular security reviews, and monitoring for suspicious activity. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law, including via email to the address associated with your account.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information: the right to access a copy of the data we hold about you; the right to correct inaccurate information; the right to request deletion of your personal data; the right to restrict or object to certain processing; and the right to data portability.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@clofta.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days. For users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, additional rights may apply under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA respectively. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
7. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to authenticate sessions, remember your preferences, and understand how users interact with the Service. For full details on the types of cookies we use and how to manage them, see our Cookie Policy.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us at hello@clofta.com.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Service, or applicable law. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and, where required, by sending an email notification. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
10. Contact
